BCGB (Western Region) Training Day, at Wootton Park Farm on Sunday 29th March 2015
Wootton Park Farm lies in the centre of England. From the North leave the M40 at Junction 16 and follow the A3400 through Henley-in Arden to Wootton Wawen. On a bend in the road with a brief bit of dual carriageway, opposite the Saxon church, is a turn beside the Bulls Head pub.
From the South leave the M40 at Junction 15 and follow the A46 to Stratford-upon-Avon. Keep on the A46 until a roundabout where you turn right on the A3400 for Henley-in Arden. In Wootton Wawen turn left by the Bulls Head pub.
From the South West leave the M5 at Junction 9 and follow the A46 to Evesham and then Stratford-on-Avon. When you reach the roundabout with the A3400 follow the directions above, as from the South
From the Bulls Head take the B4089 to Great Alne & Aston Cantlow. After approx. 300 yards the B4089 turns left and runs up the hill towards the station. On leaving the village continue for ½ mile and Wootton Park Farm & Business Centre is on your right.
Follow the drive but keep to the right at every fork until you arrive at the rear of the buildings. There is ample car parking.
We assemble for a 10.00 start. You will need a packed lunch (with some nibbles to share), lots of dog towels, poo bags and a standard 1lb dummy (if you have one) with your name clearly marked in indelible ink. Cost for the day is £5 per dog, with any profits going to Club funds.
There will be general obedience in the morning and fieldwork training throughout the day (we can also supply agility equipment and coaching on request). Our principle activity will be to stage a mock HPR Working Test for pups and novices respectively. These will give you some idea of what would be expected of your dog if you want to try these competitions in the summer.
Please let me know if you intend to come along, and if you have any particular problem you would like addressed. We will have plenty of experienced Brittany owners to give you individual attention if you need it.
