Breed Judging Seminars

The Brittany Club of Great Britain holds one day Judges Training Seminars for those wishing to be considered for the inclusion on the Club Judging Lists.

In line with the report of the Kennel Club Working Party on Judges, all intending new judges of any breed should attend at least one Breed Specific Seminar. Our format has been acclaimed by one of the Members of this Working Party.

Prospective candidates should contact the Secretary as soon as possible, a few observers may also be catered for who will not take the pre-course work and seminar tests.

The following topics will be covered :

  • A full analysis of the breed standard, including anatomy, conformation and movement.
  • The Brittany from an all-rounder’s point of view
  • Requirements for the Breed Judging Lists.
  • A full session on practical judging and assessment, with two demonstration dogs, and a number of other Brittanys available for participants to go over and write critiques.
  • A Questions & Answers Forum with the Speakers and Breed Specialists.
